Cocktails, the Aegean and 7 luxury yachts- Buddha Bar, MykonosttadminDecember 21, 2019City guideFood & DrinkMykonos0 Comments 02 min read The Buddha bar Brand name itself demands credence and a certain level of assurance that your experience will be nothing less than great- and I assure you, it wasn’t. Celebrated internationally for its exemplary cuisine and distinctive neo-asian ambience, the acclaimed Buddha Bar opened its first seaside restaurant in the splendid Santa Marina Resort & Villas, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos last year. Overlooking the stunning aqua waters of the Aegean Sea and boasting of their own private beach, Buddha Bar beach offers its’ signature worldly experience- just in time in the hottest summer island of Mykonos. As the cocktail culture receives an increased focus of attention, experience the most reinvigorating cocktails curated by Buddha Bar’s famous Chief Mixologist- Matthias Giroud who uses his world-class talent to create delightful refreshments for his guests. The food is a delectable combination of the East and the West as Japanese, Thai and Chinese flavors are blended with western flavors and seasoning. This allows guests to indulge in the distinguishable Buddha Bar cuisine that satisfies a wide range of discerning palates. The dishes are served in a ‘family style’ manner that makes this hotspot apt for hosting large lunch or dinner parties or group gatherings. On the other hand, you can also cool down by ordering an Iced Tea and a simple seafood Ceviche or Sushi platter while savoring Santa Marina’s beautiful beach as I did which was equally pleasant given the gorgeous views- not to mention the seven luxury yachts anchored right in your face! If you go for lunch, I would highly recommend the Spicy gazpacho with avocado shrimps & crouton and the Sea bass tartar with seaweed salad for starters. For people looking for a relatively healthier option- the Quinoa salad with avocado, mint & goji berries is great. The Sea bream with vegetable ratatouille and bouillabaisse sauce and the Fresh Lobster for main course are great options as well. For dinner, the menu varies slightly although equally delicious nonetheless. The Roasted Black cod in miso, truffle and Yuzu sauce and the Thai red curry shrimp with lemongrass rice are main course favorites. My experience at Buddha Bar Beach in Santa Marina’s uber-luxe beachfront Resort was incredible. This classy seaside spot trumps all the other Buddha Bar’s I have previously dined at with its chill-out beats, refreshing menu and most importantly- the most unique and exquisite coastal backdrop amidst the traditional the Buddha Statue that retains its earthly Asian tradition. ttadminStay connected on the freshest stories shaping the world of food, travel, vetted luxury and more.
