A massive tree-shaped water sculpture by Japanese architect Tadao Ando overshadows the hotel which is then designed by Tracey Emin in her signature style during Christmas Season. The hotel is also notable for it’s two Michelin-starred culinary cuisine Helene Darroze and the famous Jean Georges restaurant who brings his global empire to London in a conservatory-style restaurant. In terms of accommodation, the suites are fantastic with The Piano Sutherland Suite being any musician’s dream with a 1909 Steinway black lacquer Grand Piano and soundproof walls. Inspired by a classic British stately home with hand-carved furniture and high ceilings, the Sutherland suite is sheer luxury. Although costly with the suites starting at approximately £1700 a night, the round-the-clock butler service and Burberry Trench Coats given to guests during their stay makes the high price ££ worth it. The Savoy Hotel has maintained it’s Forbes Travel Guide 5 Star Rating for the second year in a row which goes a long way in shaping perception between affluent travelers. It’s impeccable service, superb location and notable restaurants have allowed the hotel to retain it’s timeless reputation. Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill serves classic British food with French flair in an informal setting. The name “Gordon Ramsay” is enough to make people flock to the restaraunt as you simply cannot go wrong with his food. On the other hand, the restaraunt- Kaspars is known for a more formal setting overlooking the River Thames while serving champagne and delicious seafood.
