Gunpowder, GoattadminDecember 21, 2019Casual / Healthy / VeganCity guideCultureDelhiFeaturedFood & DrinkFood hacks0 Comments 01 min read Securing a spot amongst the 50 Finest Restaraunts in India 2018, Gunpowder in Goa brings the flavors of authentic South Indian food to the forefront. Built within a Portuguese bungalow- everything from the colorful roof over your head to the in-house cocktails adds it’s own heritage/ Bohemian touch to the space. You feel like you’re sitting in the backyard of a cottage with an open roof, plush plants and some delicious food. The space is small and quaint giving a sense of the calm and the relaxed charm of the South rarely seen elsewhere. More importantly, in terms of food: The Mutton stew and Syrian Christian/ Keralan Beef Fry are favorites although vegetarians can expect a tasteful feast as well given the wide range of dishes. From classic South Indian dishes such as Tamarind rice with coconut chutney to the Malabar Parotta, the vegetarian menu leaves you spoilt for choice as well! People from New Delhi might remember Gunpowder from when it had initially opened in Hauz Khas Village. Although it is doing incredibly well in Goa given it has made India’s Finest Restaraunts’ list twice in a row, it was quite the talk in the capital as well upon it’s opening. ttadminStay connected on the freshest stories shaping the world of food, travel, vetted luxury and more.
