The Bright Red Menu on everyone’s Snapchat..ttadminDecember 21, 2019Celeb spottingCultureFood & DrinkFood hacks0 Comments 02 min read Ferdi So for some reason, all my Parisian friends have to snapchat the famous Ferdi red menu every time they visit the French restaurant. And I’ll admit, hearing its Kim Kardashian’s favorite restaurant on Keeping up with the Kardashians (yes, I’m a fan) did spike up my interest considerably. Goes without saying, that I had to visit it during my time in Paris. I didn’t really know what to expect- in my head, I was going to a glamorous restaurant in all its French flair with magnificent chandeliers and a 5 course table setting. What I saw when I went, however was a different experience altogether. A tiny bistro in dimmed red lights with funky ornaments like old toys and photo frames hung on the walls, Ferdi seems like a cute neighbourhood cafe. Having said that, this particular neighborhood does happen to be in the luxurious 1st arrondissement and it’s regulars include the likes of the legendary Azzedine Alaïa, Christian Louboutin and Kanye west. Some neighbourhood cafe huh? So the hype about this place is around their burger- apparently it’s the BEST cheeseburger burger in all of Paris- The same burger you see models sinking their teeth into after Paris Fashion Week in snapchat videos and Instagram photos. Needless to say- I wasn’t disappointed. Simply scrumptious, the melted cheddar, caramelized onions, perfectly crisped bun oozing with dressing lives upto the hype. I must warn you though that the famous Ferdi burger runs out halfway through the night because of its crazy demand and in fact everyone who walked into Ferdi after me was deprived of it. However, for those not fond of eating burgers( if that’s even possible), this South American/ American fusion cuisine spot is super fun in a Parisian hipster-chic way to get cocktails and chill in an informal setting. The menu ranges from Empanadas, Marinated Shrimp, Shredded Beef to the most INSANE Mac and Cheese, Churros and Ice Cream sundaes. The popular spot takes a refreshing twist on its house cocktails with the vodka and strawberry purée Pompadour, being the most popular. Definitely book in advance as the tiny spot has limited seating and given its considerable hype, it fills up pretty fast. ttadminStay connected on the freshest stories shaping the world of food, travel, vetted luxury and more.
